The Nuvo-2615RL series is a fanless, Intel® Atom®-based railway computer compliant with EN50155 and EN45545, for video-based railway vehicle applications such as NVR (network video recorder) and video analytics.
The Nuvo-2615RL has a dedicated thermal design to meet EN50155 OT4 class (-40°C to 70°C) fanless operation with maximum CPU performance and PoE+ delivery of up to 50W. To handle harsh railway conditions ranging from voltage fluctuations to power outages, the Nuvo-2615RL is equipped with an isolated wide 43V to 160V DC input design and a built-in SuperCAP UPS to sustain more than 30 seconds of operation without a power supply. If the power outage exceeds the sustainable time, the built-in microcontroller (MCU) will trigger a software shutdown before the SuperCAP energy runs out, to protect the hardware and data and minimize maintenance costs.
Powered by the Intel® Elkhart Lake Atom® x6425E quad-core CPU, the Nuvo-2615RL series delivers 1.8 times more CPU performance compared to Intel's previous Atom generation, Apollo Lake. The Nuvo-2615RL series features 4x PoE+ GbE ports with a total power budget of up to 50 W for IP camera connectivity. In addition to the internal M.2 2280 SATA SSD for system storage, the Nuvo-2615RL has a front-accessible 2.5" HDD tray that accommodates a 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD up to 15 mm in height and 5 TB in capacity. For internal expansion, it provides two mini-PCIe sockets for WiFi, GNSS and CAN modules. There is also an M.2 3042/3052 B Key socket for 4G/5G mobile broadband modules.
Combining the Intel Atom® quad-core x6425E, -40°C to 70°C fanless operation, M12 PoE+ connectivity, up to 5TB of data storage capacity, a 2500 watt-second SuperCAP UPS, a 43V to 160V wide-range DC input and EN50155 and EN45545 compliance, the Nuvo-2615RL series is the ideal rugged transportation computer for video-based railway vehicle applications.
